When is The Great Southern Hunt & Fish Expo?
The Expo will take place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th February 2027 at the Wānaka Recreation Centre, Sir Tim Wallis Drive, Three Parks, Wānaka.
Where is the Expo being held?
The event will be held at the Wānaka Recreation Centre, located on Sir Tim Wallis Drive in Three Parks, Wānaka.
Who should attend the Expo?
The Expo is designed for anyone passionate about the outdoors, including hunters, anglers, boaties, campers, adventurers, and families looking for a great day out.
Will there be demonstrations, competitions, or guest speakers?
Yes. We are currently planning an exciting programme of demonstrations, competitions and interactive experiences. Full details will be announced closer to the event.
Tickets & Entry
When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets will be available for purchase on this website from December 2026 but keep an eye on our social media channels for announcements.
Where can I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online through this website or at the gate during the event.
Can I buy tickets at the event?
Yes. Gate sales will be available throughout the event, subject to capacity.
Do children need a ticket?
Children are welcome to attend the Expo and do need a ticket even the under 12s who are FREE so we can still scan them in.
Parking Information
Is there parking available?
Yes. There is ample free parking at the event itself and around the general area of Three Parks
Is mobility parking available?
Yes. Dedicated mobility parking will be available close to the event entrance.
Can I bring my campervan or motorhome?
Campervan and motorhome parking will not be provided by the event on site however the Wanaka I-site website will be able to assist you to find suitable camping area's and designated zones within the region.
Families & Accessibility
Are there facilities for parents with babies?
Yes. Parent and baby changing facilities will be available at the venue.
Is the event accessible?
Yes. The venue is wheelchair accessible, and additional accessibility information will be provided by our friendly staff at the event if required.
Can I bring my dog to the event?
Sorry, dogs are not permitted at the event unless they are registered assistance, mobility, or guide dogs.
Food & Amenities
Will food and drinks be available?
Yes. A variety of food vendors and refreshment options will be available throughout the event.
Are there toilet facilities at the venue?
Yes. Toilet facilities, including accessible facilities, are available onsite.
Can I pay by EFTPOS or credit card?
Most exhibitors are expected to offer EFTPOS or card facilities, however we recommend bringing some cash as individual payment options may vary.
